The Mechanical Draftsman/EA plays a key role in the development and transfer of product development documents from the development stage to production. The positon assists in the creation and maintenance of drawings, work instructions, engineering change orders, raw material specification sheets and other documents as deemed necessary. A sample of responsibilities include:


  • Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, tooling, and components using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, & Purchasing to modify, develop and maintain support documentation as needed.
  • Support quality efforts through use of CMM to validate machined or molded parts meet QC standards.
  • Update & maintain all drawings & documents associated with Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Format, revise, and maintain raw material specifications (RMS)



In addition to being passionate about what you do and dedicated to our mission and vision, Mechanical Draftsmen/EA's with the best chance of success also possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 year degree in drafting or engineering. Applicable experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • One to three years of demonstrated skills in using CAD packages such as Solid Works, Pro-E, Solid Edge, Inventor or AutoCAD to create detailed mechanical design drawings.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite particularly Word and Excel.
