Summary:

The Material Coordinator monitors, replenishes, and distributes raw materials and equipment parts to the production floor or maintenance team as needed to maintain steady state production. This position will also monitor incoming materials for quality and accuracy. The position will require attention to detail, regular communication with others, and exceptional organizational skills.

First Shift position 7:30 - 3:30

Essential Responsibilities of the Job:


  • Work with the Supply Planner to manage and coordinate the inventory management of all raw materials based on established lead times and demand.
  • Work with Purchasing and Supply Planner to ensure on time delivery of raw materials based on established lead times and demand plan.
  • Quality acceptance and tracking of raw materials into inventory based on material specifications and tracking requirements.
  • Manage daily picklist to release raw materials to manufacturing.
  • Manage lot tracking and FIFO of raw material inventory used to produce finished goods.
  • Develops reports, initiates correspondence, works on special projects, or other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Work with Maintenance Manager and Department Supervisors to order and maintain backup equipment parts and supplies.
  • Monitor all raw material expiration dates and notify manufacturing when critical usage is needed to avoid costly loss of material.
  • Collect monthly WIP and Raw inventory levels and report to accounting.
  • Works closely with purchasing and maintenance to send equipment, parts, or any non-conforming materials back to vendor.



Essential Skills Needed for the Job:


  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of excel.
  • Experience or the Ability to learn how to use developed applications to manage raw material inventory based on demand.
  • Experience or the Ability to learn MAS 500 ERP system to manage raw material requisitioning and delivery.
  • Good communication and planning skills.
  • Good organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Other task as required.
